| Your First Visit to Kuhlman & Laun -
Your Rockwall Family Dentist |
|
At your first visit you’ll be greeted with a
friendly hello and a smile. We don’t hide behind
glass windows. We want you to feel welcome.
Your first visit is extremely important to us. It
gives us a chance to get to know each other and
establish a relationship.
For some, the first visit is an emergency or related
to a specific dental problem. We will attend to this
situation and help you with this concern.
If there is not an emergency problem, the first
visit involves a comprehensive exam and diagnosis. A
sort of fact finding mission. After discussing and
understanding your goals and concerns, we will
review your medical and dental histories. You can
fill these out ahead of time by clicking here: New
Patient Forms. We will take the necessary x-rays and
in some cases photographs. The doctor will then
perform a complete dental exam, including an oral
cancer exam, and examination of the gum tissue. Each
tooth is checked for decay or failing restorations.
After the exam the doctor will discuss the findings
and options for treatment. Based on your desires, a
treatment plan will be created. We can then proceed
at your pace. If time is an issue, we can do the
treatment all at once. If cost is an issue, we can
separate the treatment into manageable steps. It is
up to you! Want to pay it out over time, with no
interest?
Click here to see how CreditCare can help. The
assistant will then help schedule the necessary
appointments and answer any questions you may have.
If the patient is a child, we do all the same steps,
but mom and dad can be right by their side. We know
that new places can be scary to kids. We find that
often during the exam the comfort of a parent can
help. We are a family dental office and love seeing
kids!
A cleaning may be done at your first visit.
Depending on how recently you have had your teeth
cleaned and the condition of your gum tissue, we may
recommend further treatment.
